Instructor Bio
Rob established ‘I Am Mentally Fit’ to reduce stigma and increase capability, building Mental Fitness awareness through education, coaching and support.
Drawing on over 20 years in digital media, advertising and education, Rob works with companies, community groups and individuals to build their resilience capability and improve mental health outcomes.
Using a powerful blend of storytelling, drawing on his lived experience, and evidence-based theory, Rob creates trust and connection to help equip people with the tools they need to be mentally fit.
In 2018, after a difficult marriage breakdown, Rob sought connection through his first 'Men's Group', a gathering in the Gold Coast of men ranging from 30's to 70's with a varied mix of 'issues' that they were looking to process. This experience was cathartic and he has continued to work with a variety of different Men's Groups, in different roles from attendee, to speaker and facilitator.
As Rob’s purpose in Mental Health continued to grow, he pursued study across a range of mental health areas - OCD, General/Health/Social Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, CBT for Mindfulness (This Way Up Clinic) as well as, Suicide Prevention Training (Wesley Mission). Additionally, Rob became an accredited Mental Health First Aider, followed by qualifying as an Instructor to deliver Mental Health First Aid 2-day training courses face-to-face or on-line.
Rob is a highly experienced facilitator driven by a sense of purpose in the power of proactive mental fitness to support people in being prepared for the challenges of life. I Am Mentally Fit provides accredited solutions and tailored group based or individual coaching to build resilience.
