Instructor Bio

Bjelkie established BL Management Consultants in 1999. Working in the preventative work health and safety space, supporting clients to have their people working well, has been the focus for over 24 years. Bjelkie is passionate about supporting her local community recognising that part of healthy communities is healthy people.

Working primarily in the health and safety space, with a diverse range of clients both here and overseas, has provided an enormous wealth of experience and a passion for supporting businesses and their people to thrive. Holding national roles as a Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Manager, HR Manager, WHS Manager and Rehabilitation Counsellor has provided challenges in a variety of ways, including complex legal cases. During these roles, mental health conversations and improving resilience were pivotal to the people being supported.

Bjelkie grew up on a farm in regional NSW and initially studied a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physical Education. Formal studies in Management, WHS, Auditing, Health Promotion, Counselling and Psychological Safety have since been completed and support the offering of a range of services to assist workplaces with their staff working well.
